“Khun Yai” Chand Khonnokyoong was born on January 20, 1909, in Nakorn Chaisri, a rural municipality of Thailand. She was the fifth of nine children in the family. Her father, Ploy, and mother, Pan, were rice farmers.

ผมเห็นหลวงปู่ แว้บขึ้นมาในใจ ท่านบอกว่า “หยุดสิลูกหยุด หยุดตอนนี้เลย” (ท่านหมายถึงให้หยุดการทำฟาร์มเลี้ยงไก่) ผมก็ตอบหลวงปู่ฯไปว่า “จะหยุดได้ไงลูกก็ยังเล็กๆ ถ้าเปลี่ยนไปทำอย่างอื่น ล้มเหลวขึ้นมาจะทำยังไงละครับ” หลวงปู่ท่านก็สวนมาว่า “มึงไม่ลองแล้วจะรู้ได้ไง หยุดเถอะลูก บุญเก่าส่งผลแล้วบุญใหม่จะเชื่อมโยงกับบุญเก่า ลูกจะไปทำอะไรก็รุ่งเรือง”
